I have been helping people through private practice for more than 10 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Supervisor, and I am also Board Certified in Neurofeedback, which is one of my primary specialties. I hold a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been specializing in neurofeedback and biofeedback since 2001.

In 2016, I began teaching the neurofeedback electives track for Masters and Doctoral students at St. Mary's University. My students receive a firm foundation in the neuroscience and counseling theories required to become a competent neurofeedback provider, as well as hands-on experience under my supervision.
I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and received my Master's and Doctoral Degrees from St. Mary's University. I am trained as a marriage and family therapist and have more than 20 years experience in the field since the beginning of my Master's program. You are welcome to read my curriculum vita, as well.
I have been working with caregivers of patients with dementia of all kinds. I have a passion for working with individuals and families facing this difficult and often overwhelming situation, working to help them understand what is going on as well as helping them to find peace and balance, both with the circumstances and with their own role in caring for their loved one who is afflicted with dementia. On the other end of the age spectrum, I work with individuals who struggle with learning disabilities such as ADD and ADHD. I have seen young children as well as adults.
Regardless of the type of therapy appropriate for you, please know that when you make an appointment with me, it is my intention to be present for you during the whole appointment. While some neurofeedback professionals rely on technicians to complete day-in-day-out neurofeedback sessions, I believe the the clinician's role in the neurofeedback session is paramount.
